The support targets those working in Party agencies, government bodies, the Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations, and public service units affected by the administrative boundary adjustments.
Provincial officials relocating will receive a maximum of 6 million VND per month, consisting of 2 million VND for travel and 4 million VND for housing.
A survey of travel costs between Quy Nhon and Pleiku (about 160 km) indicates that 2 million VND per month is appropriate for two round trips during 4 work weeks. The 4 million VND housing allowance is for those not using government housing.
Communal officials will receive between 500,000 VND and 2 million VND per month, depending on the distance traveled after the merger. The total support over two years is estimated to be over 145.7 million VND for provincial officials and 103.8 million VND for communal officials.
Funding will primarily come from the provincial budget and other legal sources. The support period is two years, from 1/7 of this year to 30/6/2027.
According to the Department of Home Affairs, approximately 1,972 officials, public employees, and workers from Gia Lai's agencies and organizations will relocate to the new provincial administrative center in Binh Dinh province after the merger.
