The Hanoi People's Committee announced on 25/6 the allocation of 232 properties as offices for 126 new communes and wards following the recent administrative restructuring. Most central communes and wards will utilize the former offices of the 30 pre-merger districts and towns. The former Dong Da District People's Committee office at 59-61 Hoang Cau will house two new wards: the Dong Da Ward Party Committee and People's Committee, and the O Cho Dua Ward Party Committee and People's Committee.
The former district and town offices have sufficient space to accommodate the Party Committees, People's Committees, and other organizations of the new communes and wards. Most of the remaining units will operate from two locations, one for the Party Committee and one for the People's Committee.

Before the restructuring, Hoang Liet Ward in Hoang Mai District had the largest population, with over 90,000 residents. After the restructuring, 17 communes and wards have populations exceeding 100,000, with Ha Dong Ward having the highest at 185,000. The smallest unit is Hoa Lac Commune with over 20,000 residents, followed by two communes in the former Ba Vi District: Ba Vi Commune with over 26,600 and Yen Bai Commune with 21,400 residents.
Several wards in the old core districts cover less than two km2, such as two wards in the former Hoan Kiem District (Hoan Kiem and Cua Nam), and three wards in the former Dong Da District (Lang, O Cho Dua, and Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam). Cua Nam Ward has the smallest area at 1.68 km2.
The new administrative units with the largest areas are all located in former districts. Ba Vi Commune (formerly in Ba Vi District) is the largest at over 81 km2, followed by Yen Xuan Commune (formerly in Thach That District) at over 78 km2, and Trung Gia Commune (formerly in Soc Son District) at nearly 78 km2.
