On 23/6, Hanoi Chairman Tran Si Thanh announced the appointment of Le Thanh Nam, 54, as chief of the office of the People's Committee (UBND) for a five-year term. Nam was previously the deputy head of the city's Organizing Committee.
Nguyen Si Truong, 48, former standing vice president of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee in Hanoi, has been appointed director of the Department of Ethnic Affairs and Religion for a five-year term.

Dang Xuan Huan, 45, former head of Project Management Division 2 at the Hanoi Transport Construction Project Management Board, has been appointed deputy director of the board.
Duong Duc Hien, 42, a member of the Phuc Tho District Committee and head of the Finance and Planning Department of the Phuc Tho District People's Committee, has been appointed deputy director of the Hanoi Transport Construction Project Management Board for a five-year term.
Chairman Tran Si Thanh emphasized the significant workload involved in restructuring the local government apparatus, a nationwide undertaking with a 1/7 deadline. He urged the new appointees to immediately contribute to this effort.
Le Thanh Nam, the new chief of the UBND office, expressed his honor and acknowledged the significant responsibility, especially during the ongoing restructuring of the local government. He pledged his full commitment and capabilities to fulfill his duties.
Vo Hai
