The Hanoi Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism recently announced activities for the public to celebrate the 81st National Day (2/9/1945). Beyond the fireworks display on the evening of 2/9, the city will host numerous art programs, sports events, tourism activities, and public services.
Specifically, in the Ho Guom area on 1-2/9, the city will present a large-scale art program performed by the Hanoi Cheo Theater at Ba Kieu Temple Flower Garden, in front of the 'Quyet Tu De To Quoc Quyet Sinh' (Determined to Die for the Fatherland's Survival) monument.

On 2/9, My Dinh Stadium Square (Tu Liem ward), Thong Nhat Park (Hai Ba Trung), and Lac Long Quan Flower Garden (Tay Ho) will feature cultural and art programs alongside the fireworks display.
The city's art troupes will perform for residents in various communes, including: Dan Phuong (31/8), Minh Chau (31/8), Phuc Son (2/9), Bat Trang (31/8), Dai Xuyen (31/8), and Hoa Lac (28/8).
Alongside the cultural and art performances, the city will host a photo exhibition titled 'Radiant Vietnamese Landscape' from 28/8 to 6/9 at Exhibition House No. 93 Dinh Tien Hoang, Hoan Kiem ward. There will also be a book and newspaper display commemorating the 81st National Day at the Hanoi Culture and Library Center (No. 47 Ba Trieu Street, Cua Nam ward).
An exhibition space showcasing creative products from traditional craft villages will open from 26/8 to 15/9 at Exhibition Center 45 Trang Tien.
At Hoa Lo Prison historical site, the city will facilitate exchanges between historical witnesses and visiting organizations for educational purposes. Additionally, a special exhibition titled 'Loyal Heart, Iron Will' will open, commemorating the 81st anniversary of the successful August Revolution.
The Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam historical site will host folk games, physical activities, and entertainment at Ho Van main courtyard from 26 to 30/8.
