On 15/8, the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Command held a ceremony to commemorate its 50th anniversary and receive the prestigious award. Major General Pham Hai Trung, Commander of the Mausoleum Command, recounted the unit's history. During the challenging war years, the precursor force, known as Unit 69, worked alongside Soviet specialists to overcome numerous hardships. They relocated President Ho Chi Minh's remains six times, ensuring their absolute safety and preservation throughout. In addition to their medical duties, the unit gradually mastered the technical equipment and related infrastructure of the Mausoleum.

Since its opening, the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum has welcomed over 70 million visitors, including more than 10 million international visitors from nearly 200 countries and international organizations. It has also hosted over 3,500 political and cultural events. In recognition of these significant contributions, the Mausoleum Command has received numerous awards and accolades from the Party and State, the latest being the first-class Order of National Defense on its 50th anniversary.
Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien congratulated the Mausoleum Command on its achievements. He expressed confidence in the unit's continued success in fulfilling its special political mission: the long-term preservation and absolute safety of President Ho Chi Minh's remains.

General Chien urged the officers and soldiers to uphold their traditions, promote the application of science and technology, foster innovation and digital transformation, and expand research collaborations. The goal is to achieve complete autonomy in preserving President Ho Chi Minh's remains by 2030.
The Mausoleum Command is also committed to meticulously preparing for the celebrations of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on 2/9. The aim is to ensure the Mausoleum remains a sacred space, a focal point for the affection, faith, and determination of generations of Vietnamese people.
