The Da Nang People's Committee recently issued an administrative penalty decision against the Da Nang International General Hospital Joint Stock Company – the managing unit of the Da Nang International General Clinic (located at 180 Tran Phu Street, Hai Chau Ward) – totaling 148.5 million VND.
The penalty decision, signed on 5/8 by Chairman of the People's Committee Luong Nguyen Minh Triet, was based on the inspection results of an interdisciplinary team led by the Police Department for Investigation of Corruption, Economic, Smuggling, and Environmental Crimes.
Authorities identified six administrative violations by the clinic, including serious offenses such as: improperly arranging hazardous waste storage areas (90 million VND fine), failing to collect and store hazardous waste according to regulations (30 million VND fine), and not submitting environmental protection reports (15 million VND fine). In addition to the fines, the company was ordered to rectify the violations and submit a report within one day; failure to comply will result in enforcement and a 0.05% daily late payment interest charge.
The legal representative of the company is Ms. Nong Thi Thu, the director.

Previously, on 15/7, Da Nang police initiated a case, arrested, and applied preventive measures against seven managers and employees of the clinic for investigation into alleged patient deception.
According to the investigation, the clinic hired "fake" doctors, arranged separate exits to evade inspections, fabricated illnesses, and inflated treatment costs to defraud patients. Many victims were threatened with "dangerous complications" to force them into treatments costing tens of millions of VND.
Police determined the clinic illegally profited nearly 376 million VND from 17 victims. The case is under further investigation. Police are urging other potential victims to report to Team 4, Office of the Investigative Police Agency of Da Nang City Police.
