Previously, historic heavy rains in november caused 100 landslides on Khanh Le Pass, with hundreds of cubic meters of soil and rock spilling onto the road, completely blocking 50 sections. The most severe incident occurred on 16/11, when a landslide caused rocks to hit a passenger bus, killing six people and injuring 19.
The road was subsequently closed. Vehicles traveling from Nha Trang (Khanh Hoa) to Da Lat (Lam Dong) had to detour via Phan Rang, using national route 27 (including Song Pha Pass), which nearly doubled the travel distance.
Outside these hours, other vehicle types should use national route 27 (via Phan Rang - Da Lat) or other suitable routes between Khanh Hoa and Lam Dong. The Khanh Hoa Department of Construction has requested Lam Dong to coordinate notifications and provide patrol support to ensure vehicles comply with regulations.

Heavy rain continues to affect Khanh Le Pass, complicating ongoing work as construction units clear debris and repair damage. Authorities advise people to limit travel during heavy rain, drive slowly, and obey traffic signs and diversion plans.
The Provincial Police and the People's Committee of Nam Khanh Vinh Commune have been requested to deploy regular patrols to ensure traffic safety.
Khanh Le Pass stretches 33 km along national route 27C, which is 121 km long. It serves as a vital artery connecting Da Lat with Nha Trang, a route frequently chosen by tourist vehicles. The pass is prone to landslides during the rainy season.
