The Department of Culture stated that the lighting plan is designed to suit the Christmas and New Year atmosphere, ensuring harmony with the cultural and historical landscape of Hoan Kiem Lake and Turtle Tower. The lighting solution has been developed with careful consideration of color, intensity, and movement, preserving the symbolic value of the capital's central area.
The Hoan Kiem Lake - Turtle Tower Art Lighting Space will be showcased nightly from 24/12 to 4/1/2026, offering free access to residents and tourists.

On the evening of 26/12, at the exhibition house at 93 Dinh Tien Hoang street, Hoan Kiem ward, the digital exhibition "Radiant Hanoi - Light and Heritage" will open. This event will utilize digital projection, lighting, and multimedia technology to showcase Hanoi's historical and cultural values.
A highlight of the event series is the Hanoi Countdown 2026 program, scheduled for the evening of 31/12 at Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square, featuring many domestic and international artists.
To mark the transition from 2025 to 2026, Hanoi will host a 15-minute fireworks display from 23h45 on 31/12 to 0h on 1/1/2026. The fireworks will be launched from five locations with six firing sites. The Hoan Kiem Lake area will have two firing sites, positioned in front of the Hanoi Moi Newspaper headquarters and the Hanoi Post Office. The remaining locations include Thong Nhat Park, the F1 racetrack area, Lac Long Quan Flower Garden, and Van Quan Lake.
