In preparation for the grand celebration, participating units have developed detailed plans, selected elite forces, conducted specialized training for each vessel, practiced parade protocols at the pier, including flag salutes, formation movements, fleet maneuvers, and at-sea situation handling through map and tabletop exercises.
"All vehicles, weapons, equipment, and instruments for the parade have undergone thorough inspection and maintenance, ensuring they are in optimal technical condition and ready for the mission," the Navy stated.
Working with the participating units, Rear Admiral Nguyen Van Bach, Deputy Commander of the Navy, requested all forces and units to strictly adhere to discipline, maintain personnel control, and ensure absolute safety during their duties. He emphasized the importance of ensuring the technical readiness of ships, boats, equipment, and instruments throughout the training process and during the parade.

The 80th National Day parade will see the full participation of various forces, including ground troops, mechanized forces, air, and naval units. This year marks the return of military artillery vehicles to the parade route after 40 years, since the National Day on 2/9/1985. The ground parade forces of the Army and Police comprise 43 marching blocks and 18 stationary blocks with over 15,600 personnel.
In May, the government assigned the Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of Public Security to lead the preparations for the parade commemorating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on 2/9. The Ministry of National Defense announced on 9/7 that it had sent invitations to Russia, China, Laos, Cambodia, and Belarus to participate in the parade.
