Around 9 PM, the fire quickly engulfed the factory area, creating a tall column of smoke visible from several kilometers away. At the time of the fire, some workers were still at the factory but managed to move to safety before the flames spread.
Ms. Van Trang, who lives about one kilometer from the scene, reported hearing multiple loud explosions during the blaze. "The column of smoke and fire rose hundreds of meters high, making the sky glow red across a wide area," she said. Concerned the fire involved chemicals, many residents in nearby areas stayed indoors for safety.
