Around 7 PM, security guards at the candle factory in Tan Hoi commune noticed smoke and flames rising from the factory area. They immediately raised the alarm and attempted to extinguish the fire with on-site extinguishers, but their efforts were unsuccessful.
Because the factory contained large quantities of flammable materials and chemicals, the fire rapidly spread, engulfing the entire building.
Authorities dispatched dozens of fire trucks and numerous firefighters to the scene. However, the intensity of the blaze and the heavy smoke hampered firefighting efforts.
By 8 PM, firefighters were still working to control the fire and prevent it from spreading to adjacent areas.
While there were no reported casualties, the fire destroyed 800 square meters of the factory. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
