According to authorities, Ha, who was frequently bothered by debt collection calls from loan applications, used a call forwarding service to redirect all these calls to the Thanh Hoa Provincial Police hotline.
This action caused the hotline to receive numerous unrelated calls, disrupting its regular operations, hindering the receipt of crime reports, and impacting assistance for citizens.
Authorities determined that Ha violated Article 102, Clause 3 of Government Decree 15/2020, which pertains to administrative penalties in the fields of post, telecommunications, information technology, and electronic transactions.
Thanh Hoa Provincial Police warned that unauthorized call redirection to agencies or organizations, causing disruption to their normal operations, constitutes a legal violation and will be severely punished.
