An explosion rocked an electronics company in Yen Phong industrial park, Yen Phong commune, Bac Ninh province, around 4 p.m. on 15/4. The blast caused nearby objects to shake.

Local authorities in Yen Phong commune reported that two individuals were injured. One sustained minor injuries and remained conscious, while the other is currently undergoing emergency surgery. Authorities are visiting the victims and collaborating with relevant agencies to investigate the incident.

Initial information from authorities indicates the explosion was caused by an air conditioner outdoor unit during maintenance work. The two injured individuals were contract workers hired for repairs, not permanent employees of the company.

The incident took place at a 100% South Korean-owned enterprise, which has operated in Yen Phong industrial park since 2008. This company manufactures engineering plastic components, electronic device casings, and accessories for phones and smart devices, supplying major corporations.
