The Ministry of Construction has called for a thorough investigation into the Vietnam Airlines flight VN34 incident in Munich, emphasizing the need to ensure aviation safety and prevent similar occurrences. To achieve this, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV) has been instructed to promptly establish official communication channels and coordinate with German aircraft accident investigation authorities and other relevant agencies.

The CAAV must gather comprehensive information, actively participate in the investigation process as per international regulations, and provide timely reports on the findings from German authorities. This includes outlining any corrective and preventative measures to be implemented.

Furthermore, the CAAV is tasked with enhancing safety supervision across various aspects of Vietnamese airlines' operations. This includes rigorous oversight of aviation personnel training, aircraft operations, and maintenance procedures.

Regarding Vietnam Airlines, the Ministry of Construction has directed the carrier to cooperate closely with German investigation authorities, as well as the aircraft and engine manufacturers. This collaboration is crucial for supporting the investigation process and clearly determining the incident's cause.

Vietnam Airlines is also required to conduct a thorough review of all its procedures related to aviation personnel training, aircraft operation, and maintenance. The objective is to identify and promptly address any potential risks that could affect operational safety. Additionally, the airline must fulfill its obligations as a carrier to all passengers affected by the incident.

These directives from the Ministry of Construction, which call for intensified supervision and a comprehensive review of procedures, come as German authorities are actively investigating the incident to determine its root cause. The official conclusions from these authorities will form the basis for all parties to implement necessary corrective and preventative measures, thereby ensuring the highest standards of operational safety.

A representative from Vietnam Airlines confirmed the airline's cooperation with both domestic and international agencies in collecting information pertinent to the investigation. In parallel, Vietnam Airlines has established an independent investigation team to further clarify the cause of the incident.

According to Vietnam Airlines' official report, flight VN34, en route from Munich to Hanoi, departed at 13:57 on 15/8 (local time). Shortly after takeoff, the aircraft's system displayed critical warnings indicating a tail strike on the runway and issues with tire pressure.

In response to these warnings, the flight crew promptly informed air traffic controllers. After assessing the situation, they made the decision to return to Munich airport for an immediate technical inspection. The aircraft subsequently landed safely, and all 271 passengers and 16 crew members were safely disembarked using air stairs.
