The Government will implement a new base salary of 2.53 million VND per month starting july 1, an increase from the previous 2.34 million VND. This adjustment serves as the basis for modifying salaries and allowances for cadres, civil servants, public employees, and members of the armed forces.

Among police officers, a general's monthly salary will be the highest, rising from 24.3 million VND to 26.3 million VND, not including allowances. A senior lieutenant general's salary will increase from 22.9 million VND to 24.8 million VND; a lieutenant general's from 21.5 million VND to 23.3 million VND; and a major general's from 20.1 million VND to 21.8 million VND.

For lower-ranking officers, a corporal will receive the lowest salary, increasing from 7.5 million VND to 8.1 million VND per month.

Police technical specialists will see salaries ranging from a minimum of 7.5 million VND to a maximum of 19.5 million VND per month.

Police workers' salaries will range from a minimum of 6.8 million VND to a maximum of 16.8 million VND per month.
