Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai: better policies needed for grassroots officials

The president of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee emphasized that after reorganization, provinces and cities will have larger scale and resources, necessitating better policies and benefits for officials, especially at the grassroots level.

On 6/3, President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee Bui Thi Minh Hoai, along with candidates from electoral unit 5, met with voters in Hoa Binh ward, Phu Tho province.

During the conference, Ms. Huyen Sam, a voter from residential group 10, Hoa Binh ward, stated that after the merger, the ward now spans about 89 km2, becoming a key socio-economic development hub for Phu Tho province. Voters urged the National Assembly, the provincial People's Council, and other relevant agencies to continue investing in urban infrastructure and enhance the quality of capable and responsible officials and civil servants.

Pham Quoc Trung, another voter from Hoa Binh ward, also expressed hope that the new-term representatives would "dare to think, dare to act, and dare to take responsibility" before the Party and the people, while fully implementing the commitments outlined in their action plans.

In response, Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai stated that the reorganization of the 34 provincial and city administrations has created new development opportunities for the nation. With larger areas and populations, resources will be more concentrated, enabling the country to steadily enter a new era of rapid, sustainable development and strong growth.

She affirmed that the highest goal of the Party and the State is to continually improve the people's living standards. Infrastructure, from villages to communes and wards, will continue to receive investment to support production and business activities. Social welfare policies, particularly those focused on creating jobs for ethnic minority youth in disadvantaged areas, will be a top priority to ensure stable lives and encourage their commitment to building their homeland.

On behalf of the candidates from electoral group 5, Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai affirmed that those elected as National Assembly representatives for the 16th term will truly be exemplary representatives embodying the voice of the people.

Electoral unit 5 comprises five candidates: Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai; Mr. Nguyen Cao Son, Vice President of the Vietnam Association of Small and Medium Enterprises; Mr. Ngo Minh Trong, Director of Tan Truong Son Company; Ms. Bui Thi Kim Tuyen, member of the provincial Party Committee Executive Board and Principal of Phu Tho Provincial School of Politics; and Ms. Doan Thi Hong Viet, a senior lecturer in the Department of State and Law at Phu Tho Provincial School of Politics.
