On 15/3, the northern region experienced cloudy skies with intermittent rain, influenced by a weakening cold air mass combined with wind convergence at altitudes of 3,000-5,000 m. According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, this weather pattern is expected to persist on 16/3.
Starting 17/3, the cold air mass will continue to weaken, and the western low-pressure area will develop and expand eastward. This shift will largely bring an end to rain in the northern region, leading to sunny skies and a gradual increase in temperatures.
The US forecast website AccuWeather predicts temperatures in Hanoi next week to range from 21-28°C. High-altitude areas above 1,500 m, such as Sa Pa (Lao Cai), will see nighttime temperatures around 12-13°C, rising to 21-23°C during the day.

The southern region and Central Highlands will see little rain and much sun from now until the end of the week. For the first two days of the week, maximum temperatures in the Central Highlands will generally be 29-32°C, while the southern region will experience 33-35°C.
