The 14th Central Committee's 2nd conference is scheduled to convene for five days to discuss important agenda items, including: the 14th Party Central Committee's full-term work program; working regulations for the Party Central Committee, Politburo, and Secretariat; regulations for implementing the Party Charter; regulations on Party inspection, supervision, and discipline; working regulations for the Central Inspection Commission; regulations on political and ideological work within the Party; and a review of several major Central resolutions on inspection, supervision, and preventing corruption, waste, and negativity.

The Central Committee will also review personnel for state agencies for the 2026-2031 term, and provide input on the five-year socio-economic development plan for 2026-2031, the national financial plan, and the medium-term public investment plan for this period.

Presiding over the conference were General Secretary To Lam, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man, Standing Secretary of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu, and Head of the Central Organization Commission Le Minh Hung.

General Secretary To Lam, in his opening remarks, emphasized that the conference agenda includes tasks that are "numerous, extensive, and challenging", all of which are urgent and cannot be delayed.

National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man chaired the opening session of the conference.

Standing Secretary of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu spoke at the opening session.

Central Committee members at the conference included President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Nguyen Anh Tuan and Permanent Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Environment Trinh Viet Hung. The two officials assumed their new duties nearly a month ago.
