Ho Chi Minh City restricts vehicles on several Thu Thiem roads for three days

Vehicles are restricted on numerous roads in the Thu Thiem urban area from 23/3 to 25/3 to ensure security and traffic safety, according to the Ho Chi Minh City Traffic Police Department.

The restricted routes include: a section of Luong Dinh Cua street (from the Tran Nao roundabout to the Luong Dinh Cua - Nguyen Co Thach intersection); a section of Tran Nao street (from the Luong Dinh Cua roundabout to the Tran Nao - street 14 intersection); a section of To Huu street (from the To Huu - Nguyen Co Thach intersection to the To Huu - Luong Dinh Cua T-junction); and a section of Tran Bach Dang street (from the R12 junction to the end of the Tran Bach Dang section within the Lan Anh residential area).

Additionally, the entirety of Thu Thiem Bridge and both directions of Nguyen Co Thach street (from the Nguyen Huu Canh roundabout to the Nguyen Co Thach - To Huu intersection) are also subject to vehicle restrictions.

According to the Ho Chi Minh City Traffic Police Department, depending on the actual situation, the restriction period may conclude earlier than 25/3.

During this period, vehicles traveling from Saigon Bridge towards Thu Thiem Tunnel can follow alternative routes: Saigon Bridge - Vo Nguyen Giap - Mai Chi Tho - Thu Thiem Tunnel. Alternatively: Saigon Bridge - Dien Bien Phu - Nguyen Huu Canh - Ton Duc Thang - Me Linh Project roundabout - Ton Duc Thang - Vo Van Kiet - U-turn at Ky Con - Thu Thiem Tunnel.

For those traveling from the city center to Thao Dien, vehicles can follow alternative routes: Dien Bien Phu - Saigon Bridge - Vo Nguyen Giap - U-turn on Vo Nguyen Giap (before Cantavil) - Thao Dien - Quoc Huong. Alternatively: Dien Bien Phu - Saigon Bridge - Vo Nguyen Giap - turn right onto Tran Nao - turn left onto Saigon Bridge underpass - Vo Nguyen Giap service road - Nguyen Van Huong - Quoc Huong.

Another route is: Thu Thiem Tunnel - Mai Chi Tho - Cat Lai Overpass - Vo Nguyen Giap - Thao Dien - Quoc Huong. Alternatively: Nguyen Van Linh - Phu My Bridge - Vo Chi Cong - My Thuy Roundabout - Dong Van Cong - Mai Chi Tho - Cat Lai Overpass - Vo Nguyen Giap - Thao Dien - Quoc Huong.

For alternative routes from the An Phu interchange to the city center, drivers can follow Mai Chi Tho street - Thu Thiem Tunnel; or Luong Dinh Cua - Luu Dinh Le - Mai Chi Tho - Thu Thiem Tunnel - Ky Con. Another route is: An Phu interchange - Luong Dinh Cua - Nguyen Hoang - Vo Nguyen Giap - U-turn on Vo Nguyen Giap - Saigon Bridge - Dien Bien Phu. Alternatively: An Phu interchange - Mai Chi Tho - Vo Nguyen Giap - Saigon Bridge - Dien Bien Phu.

For traffic from Dong Nai province to Ho Chi Minh City center, vehicles can proceed straight on National Highway 1 - Hanoi Highway - Do Muoi - Pham Van Dong - Dinh Bo Linh - Dien Bien Phu. Alternatively: Dong Nai Bridge - National Highway 1 - Hanoi Highway - Vo Nguyen Giap - Mai Chi Tho - Thu Thiem Tunnel - Vo Van Kiet.
