The event, themed "Da Nang Imprint - Han River Convergence," was organized by the Da Nang Women's Union (DWU). This was a central activity of the Da Nang Ao Dai Festival 2026, commemorating 51 years since National Reunification Day (30/4/1975-30/4/2026). It also served to welcome the National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for the 2026-2031 term and the 14th National Women's Congress.
The parade gathered on Bach Dang street, Hai Chau ward. Women members from various city wards, including Hoa Cuong, An Hai, Hai Chau, and Ngu Hanh Son, showcased diverse ao dai designs, ranging from the national flag motif to brocade patterns and the distinctive blue ao dai of the Union.

The participants walked through Bach Dang, Nguyen Du, Tran Phu, and Quang Trung streets. To enhance visual appeal, the parade was divided into distinct thematic blocks such as Han River, Ocean Waves, Urban, Youthful Rhythm, Big Embrace, and New Street.
Over 1,000 individuals, dressed in ao dai, conical hats, and carrying national flags, paraded along the Han River, creating a "colorful silk strip" visual. The event aimed to honor traditional beauty while promoting Da Nang as a dynamic city rich in cultural identity to tourists.
A new feature of this year's program was the intergenerational collaboration. In addition to the women members, the event included 50 models and 50 children from various art clubs. A procession of cyclos carrying ao dai wearers also joined the parade, evoking the cultural ambiance of the past within the modern city.

Concurrently, another parade branch, comprising 100 people, cycled along the coastal road of Vo Nguyen Giap, Hoang Sa, and Le Duc Tho. Starting from Bien Dong Park in Phuoc My ward, the group passed the Hoang Sa Exhibition House, spreading a message of love for the sea and islands and the spirit of health training.
According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Thao, Vice Chairwoman of the Da Nang Women's Union, the program not only honors the cultural value of the national costume but also serves as an opportunity to introduce the friendly and hospitable people of Da Nang to international friends and tourists.
Within the framework of the festival, an "Ao Dai 0 Dong" stall was held at the Da Nang Museum from 24/4 to 26/4. The program planned to donate over 500 ao dai sets to domestic and international tourists, as well as local women in need.
