On the afternoon of 19/6, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in coordination with the Party Central Committee Office, the Ministry of National Defense, and the Embassy of the State of Palestine, organized a ceremony to present the State Order of Palestine posthumously to General Vo Nguyen Giap.

Saadi Salama, Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Vietnam, stated that Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas's posthumous award of the order to General Vo Nguyen Giap recognizes his historical stature, glorious revolutionary career, and significant contributions to national liberation movements globally.

The order expresses gratitude for General Vo Nguyen Giap's contributions to the struggle for independence and freedom of oppressed nations. It also demonstrates appreciation for his principled stance and unwavering support for the just struggle of the Palestinian people for self-determination, freedom, and the goal of establishing an independent State of Palestine.

Speaking at the ceremony, General Phan Van Giang, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense, respectfully thanked the State and President of Palestine. He affirmed Vietnam's consistent view of always supporting the just struggle of the Palestinian people and the two-state solution.
