Passenger bus carrying 27 catches fire

A sleeper bus registered in Hai Duong province carrying 27 passengers caught fire on National Highway 1A in Hong Son commune. All passengers escaped safely.

At 10:30 PM on 9/7, a sleeper bus driven by Nguyen Van Viet, 47, from Hai Duong province, was traveling south with 27 passengers.

The driver noticed the fire, pulled over, and evacuated all passengers. Within minutes, the fire intensified, engulfing the entire bus.

Passersby alerted the fire department. Two fire trucks and 10 firefighters from Phan Thiet arrived at the scene to extinguish the blaze. The bus was completely gutted.

The initial cause is believed to be a fire that started in the luggage compartment and spread throughout the vehicle. There were no casualties.
