A sleeper bus carrying 9 passengers plunged into a drainage ditch after hitting a guardrail in Dak To commune. Around 6:30 p.m., a bus operated by a Buon Ma Thuot company was traveling on National Highway 14, heading from Dak Lak to Da Nang. The incident occurred in hamlet 1, Dak To commune (formerly Kon Tum province), where the bus struck a roadside guardrail and slid into a drainage ditch in front of the former Dien Binh commune People's Committee gate.

The accident resulted in significant damage to the bus and caused panic among passengers. The bus's side windows shattered, sending many belongings and luggage into the ditch. Some passengers screamed, attempting to exit. The driver and passersby quickly helped passengers out of the bus. The bus operator then arranged another vehicle to pick up the passengers and continue their journey.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident, which occurred during adverse weather conditions. At the time of the accident, the area experienced heavy rain, making the road surface slippery. The Traffic Police Department of Quang Ngai Provincial Police is coordinating with Dak To commune Police to investigate the cause and manage traffic to prevent congestion.
