Around 10:30 a.m., a pickup truck traveling on Dang Van Bi Street towards Hanoi Highway suddenly mounted the sidewalk, hitting a utility pole before colliding with a man who had just wheeled his motorbike out of an aquarium shop.
The impact broke the utility pole in two, leaving it leaning precariously. The front of the truck was severely damaged, with debris scattered nearly ten meters. The motorbike was also mangled. Both the truck driver and the motorcyclist sustained serious injuries and were taken to the hospital by bystanders.
Minh Phuong, a witness near the scene, said the truck driver was found unconscious in the vehicle and appeared to have suffered a stroke. "The truck was traveling very fast even though the road was crowded," he said.
