Pickup truck thrown over guardrail, plunges into stream

A pickup truck carrying four people was rear-ended by a truck on the La Son - Hoa Lien expressway, sending it over the Phu Mau bridge railing and into a stream on the afternoon of 6/12.

On 6/12, a pickup truck carrying four people plunged into a stream after being rear-ended by a truck on the La Son - Hoa Lien expressway. The incident occurred around 4:45 PM near Phu Mau bridge in Khe Tre commune. Nguyen Ngoc Tuan (31) was driving the Da Nang-registered pickup with three passengers from Hue to Da Nang when it was struck by a Hung Yen-registered truck, driven by Tran Lam Toi (43), traveling in the same direction.

The impact sent the pickup truck over the bridge's guardrail, causing it to fall into the stream below. The vehicle sustained heavy damage. One person in the pickup suffered a broken collarbone; the other three were not injured.

Authorities quickly responded to the scene, managing traffic and initiating an investigation into the accident's cause.
