On 14/8, the Quang Tri Provincial People's Council approved a resolution to support civil servants and employees of provincial and communal agencies relocating to new administrative centers.
Those without assigned housing will receive 3 million VND monthly for two years, starting 1/7. This includes 2 million VND for rent (based on an average rent of 4 million VND for a two-person room) and 1 million VND for travel (based on a one-way bus ticket between Dong Ha and the former Dong Hoi costing 120,000 VND, with 8 trips per month).
Those with assigned housing will receive 1 million VND monthly. Those with transportation provided from their homes to their workplaces are not eligible. Quang Tri currently has 69 rooms for official housing, accommodating 100-125 people, leaving over 1,590 without assigned housing.
Communal civil servants whose new offices are 50 km or more from their previous locations (in the plains) or 40 km or more (in mountainous or border areas) will receive 1 million VND monthly.

According to the provincial government, this policy aims to help civil servants settle into their new locations and focus on their work following the reorganization of provincial and communal administrative centers.
