Suddenly, a 34-year-old man (formerly of Tinh Ha commune) driving his motorbike from east to west, seemingly unaware of the crossing, crashed into the barrier and fell onto the tracks.
Oanh rushed to the man's aid, pulling him to safety mere seconds before the SE6 train sped past. The man, who sustained a head injury, was taken to the hospital by railway staff. His motorbike was severely damaged by the train.
The train stopped for about 30 minutes for an inspection before continuing its journey.
The incident was reported to authorities by railway personnel. Police are investigating why the man disregarded the crossing barrier.
