Around 6 p.m. on 23/7, rapper Vu Xuan Binh (also known as Binh Gold), 28, from Hai Phong City, was driving a four-seat car on the Hanoi - Lao Cai highway.
Binh was driving at high speed, weaving in and out of traffic, and cutting off other vehicles, showing signs of disorderly conduct. This behavior was recorded by dashcams of other vehicles and posted on social media.

Major General Do Thanh Binh, Director of the Traffic Police Department, ordered traffic police on the Noi Bai - Lao Cai highway to investigate and track down the driver. Around 10 p.m. the same day, police stopped Binh's car in Lao Cai province. The test results showed that Binh tested positive for cannabis.
Binh has been handed over to the Lao Cai provincial authorities for further action.

Binh Gold, originally a tattoo artist, rose to fame online around 2019 through his vulgar rap songs. Most of his lyrics and music videos depict a lavish, hedonistic lifestyle, drawing criticism for inappropriate language and negative influence, especially on children.
