Typhoon Wipha is expected to make landfall in northern Vietnam around 10 a.m. tomorrow, directly impacting the area from Hai Phong to Thanh Hoa.

Lieutenant Colonel Vuong reported that 100% of the station's personnel were on duty for the typhoon. All fishing boats from Sam Son were safely moored in the shelter before the provincial sea ban was issued on the morning of 21/7.

At Ninh Co port (Ninh Binh), typhoon preparations are underway. The port has two mooring areas with a capacity of more than 200 vessels.
According to the Ninh Binh Fisheries – Fishery Surveillance Sub-Department, the province has 1,861 fishing boats with 5,724 crew members. As of 4 p.m. on 20/7, 1,695 boats and 5,232 crew members had returned to shore to avoid Typhoon Wipha, with the remainder expected to arrive soon.

This morning, Bach Long Vy special district experienced heavy rain and strong winds. Authorities have moved boats ashore. Despite the weather, residents continued to secure small boats next to concrete pillars to prevent damage from impacts.
The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting stated that after entering the Gulf of Tonkin on the morning of 21/7, the typhoon may intensify to levels 10-11, with gusts up to level 14, as it approaches the Hai Phong - Thanh Hoa coastal area. The typhoon is expected to bring heavy rain, exceeding 600 mm in some areas, particularly in Northeast Vietnam, the mountainous regions of Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, and Ha Tinh.
