Rock slide kills young girl, injures sister in Dak Lak

Two sisters were playing at the base of Dak Tuor hill when a falling rock struck them, killing the younger sibling and injuring the older one.

Around 5 PM on 9/7, two sisters, aged 7 and 2, were tending cattle and playing at the foot of a hill in Yang Mao commune. Suddenly, a rock measuring approximately 40 by 60 cm rolled down the hill, striking both children.

Both victims were rushed to the hospital, but the 2-year-old girl succumbed to her severe injuries.

Authorities from Cu Pui commune, where the girls resided, conducted an overnight investigation at the scene to determine what caused the rock to fall.
