According to the Traffic Police Department, a vehicle transporting one charity group overturned in Phinh Ho commune, Lao Cai, on the morning of 27/12. The tragic incident resulted in 9 fatalities. The group comprised 18 individuals, predominantly teachers traveling from Hanoi. A representative from Phinh Ho Commune Kindergarten, the intended destination of the charity group, confirmed these details.

The accident scene revealed extensive damage to the vehicle. All windows shattered, and the roof and frame were completely deformed. Around the passenger vehicle, numerous water bottles and fruits were scattered, indicative of the impact.

Authorities are currently extracting the victims from the wreckage. While the exact cause of the accident remains under investigation, preliminary findings suggest it may have been due to brake failure. Traffic police are assessing the scene to determine the precise circumstances of the incident.

The vehicle crashed while traveling from Hanh Phuc village down to Tang Ghenh village, both within Phinh Ho commune. Following the accident, many local residents swiftly arrived to assist in transporting the injured to emergency care.
