A 20-year-old man unexpectedly fell into a deep well around 2 pm on 26/12 while working in a field in Phuoc Long ward. Local residents attempted an on-site rescue but were unsuccessful.
Upon receiving the report, the Dong Nai Provincial Police's Fire Prevention, Fighting, and Rescue Department dispatched 5 officers and specialized equipment to the scene. After assessment, authorities confirmed the victim was conscious and able to communicate, trapped at the bottom of the well, which had a diameter of approximately 0,7-0,8 meters.
Police lowered ropes, an oxygen tank, and drinking water into the well to ensure the victim's well-being. They then used rescue ropes to create a safety harness, performed specialized knots, and pulled the trapped individual to safety. Rescuers then transported him to a hospital.
According to local residents, wooden planks covered the well's opening. However, these planks were rotten and collapsed when the victim stepped on them.
