On 20/4, Hue City Department of Culture and Sports announced that the martyr memorial on road 71 at sub-area 67 has been classified as a city-level historical-cultural relic, along with 17 other relics.
In 2022, to commemorate and honor the martyrs who sacrificed while rescuing workers at Rao Trang 3 hydropower plant, Hue City authorities built a memorial at Guard Station 67 on road 71. This site is where 13 soldiers perished, and the construction had a total cost exceeding 6.5 billion VND.
The memorial complex spans over 1.8 hectares and features key components: a memorial house, a monument listing the martyrs' names, retaining walls and slope reinforcement, internal roads, a parking lot, and a solar-powered lighting system. After completion, the project became a significant site for educating younger generations about the fighting spirit and sacrifice of these soldiers.

At 0h on 12/10/2020, a landslide buried the camp, administrative building, and 17 workers at Rao Trang 3 hydropower plant, located in the former Phong Xuan commune. Major General Nguyen Van Man and a delegation of officers and soldiers from Military Region 4 arrived at the scene for rescue operations. At 0h on 13/10/2020, while the entire delegation was resting at Guard Station 67, another landslide occurred, burying them and resulting in the sacrifice of 13 officers and soldiers. To date, at Rao Trang 3 hydropower plant, authorities have found only six bodies of workers, with 11 others still missing.
Following the relic's classification, Phong Dien ward will publicly announce the protected zone around the relic and establish boundary markers on site. The ward will also issue a decision to establish a relic management board and organize the management of the relic's grounds, space, and all artifacts within it.
