On the morning of 16/1, joy was evident on the faces of more than 130 Hmong and Xinh Mun ethnic minority students at Un Ninh school point, part of Chieng Khuong Boarding Primary and Secondary School. Unlike the muddy grounds on rainy days or dusty conditions on sunny days, the children can now play on a smooth, cemented surface.

Located far from the commune center, Un Ninh has suffered from a lack of facilities for many years. Ms. Phung Thi Lien, the school's principal, shared that the greatest concern for teachers was the old, non-self-contained restroom area, which lacked clean water and handwashing sinks, significantly impacting student health.
"The new facilities not only improve living conditions but also serve as a morale booster, helping teachers and students overcome difficulties and stay in school", Ms. Lien said emotionally at the handover ceremony.
The upgraded items include self-contained restrooms, a schoolyard, and a standard handwashing area. This achievement resulted from the collaboration between Quy Hy Vong and Honda Trading Viet Nam Company Limited through the "My School Gets a New Look" project.

Present at the ceremony, Mr. Takahashi Ryo, general director of Honda Trading Viet Nam, expressed hope that these contributions would provide students with better learning and playing conditions. "Let's create a more beautiful world together from the smiles of children", Mr. Ryo shared.
On this occasion, the company's trade union also donated warm jackets, bookshelves, toys, and stuffed animals to the students, bringing warmth to the remote border region during the cold winter days. The total sponsorship from the enterprise amounted to more than 200 million VND.
Un Ninh is a further success story of the "Anh Sang Hoc Duong" (School Light) program implemented by Quy Hy Vong. In Son La, since 2021, the foundation has built 13 new school points and upgraded dozens of sanitation facilities. In 2025, nearly 220 disadvantaged schools nationwide are expected to continue receiving a "new look" with a total sponsorship exceeding 40 billion VND.
