South Korean fireworks debut on the international stage in Da Nang

Newcomer Faseecom from South Korea opened the fifth night of the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival with a memorable display on the Han River.

On 28/6, the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) held its fifth competition night, featuring teams from South Korea and Italy.

Representing South Korea, Faseecom began the show with high-altitude fireworks visible from afar.

The fireworks reflected on the Han River, creating a magical scene. The South Korean team's performance, titled "Dancing Dragons," was inspired by the dragon image and the modern beauty of Da Nang. Photo: Nguyen Quang

South Korean fireworks photographed with a 600 mm lens from Nam O village, at the foot of Hai Van Pass. Nam O is known throughout Vietnam for its historical fireworks production (including traditional firework displays) and fish sauce, recognized as a national intangible cultural heritage.

South Korean fireworks viewed from the Son Tra Peninsula. The five-part performance depicted the birth of the Dragon, Da Nang's development, future aspirations, and concluded with a brilliant light show, a wish for the city's global reach. Photo: Phan Dau

Layers of elaborate firework effects transitioned smoothly, taking the audience's emotions on a journey through each chapter of the story.

Brilliant bursts of gold and blue fireworks exploded in rapid succession, eliciting gasps and excitement from the crowd.

Established in 1997, Faseecom Co., Ltd is a pioneer in South Korea, combining fireworks and pyrotechnics with multimedia technology.

With "Symphony of Lights - Opening the Future" on the fifth night of DIFF 2025, Martarello Group S.R.L, the fireworks giant from Italy, portrayed Da Nang's dynamic transformation in the modern era.

From the outset, the performance exploded with bright red high-altitude fireworks, bursting intensely to the beat of rock and cinematic music like "Blood Sport" and "Aphelion", evoking the city's vibrant energy. Photo: Nguyen Quang

Sharp lighting effects created the sensation of watching an action movie. As jazz melodies filled the air, the display shifted, with colorful bursts soaring and cascading like waterfalls of light.

Fireworks bloomed across the sky, visible from a distance and from high-rise buildings near the launch site on Bach Dang Street.

The intensity built, culminating in a breathtaking finale. Fan-shaped fireworks embraced the Da Nang night sky. Interwoven, multicolored cascading effects amazed the audience. However, smoke obscured the view from Thuan Phuoc Bridge. Photo: Nguyen Quang - Nguyen Dong

The spectacular display by the Italian team concluded the final night of the 10-team qualifying round. The organizers are now judging to select the two best teams for the final on 12/7.

Martarello Group S.R.L is a familiar face at DIFF and one of the most successful teams, with championships in 2017 and 2018, runner-up in DIFF 2023, and the "Most Favorite Team" award in DIFF 2024.
