Previously, starting 8/3, Trinh's family had posted information on social media seeking help to find him, after the student lost contact while riding his motorbike from Da Lat to Ho Chi Minh City. According to the family, around 4h40 that same day, Trinh sent a photo taken at Phu Son 2 gas station in the Dam Ri area (Bao Loc, Lam Dong) to friends, then went silent.
Camera footage showed the student driving a gray scooter past several points on National Highway 20. However, after the Chuoi Pass area, his motorbike no longer appeared on surveillance cameras along the route.
The person who initially posted the missing person alert later confirmed that the body found was Trinh. Lam Dong provincial police are investigating the incident.
