Around 7:20 on the morning of 17/8, a fire erupted on the first floor of terraced house number 20-TT3B in Phung Khoang new urban area. The three-story, one-attic residence, measuring about 80 square meters, featured a facade with a sign advertising office meal catering, and its first floor contained cooking utensils.

Witnesses reported that the fire quickly spread to the other two floors, accompanied by a loud explosion.

Firefighters swiftly responded to the scene, deploying at least three fire trucks and more than ten officers. Due to the building's tube-house structure, they could only access the facade to spray water, focusing on extinguishing the flames and preventing further spread to adjacent properties.

By 8:45, firefighters brought the blaze under control, successfully preventing its spread to neighboring houses. The scene revealed significant damage: a portion of the exterior sign burned, smoke blackened the walls, and glass doors on all floors shattered from the intense heat. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.

The Phung Khoang new urban area, where the incident occurred, spans approximately 46 hectares. It is situated along To Huu and Luong The Vinh streets and features a mix of low-rise villas, terraced townhouses, shophouses, and apartment buildings.
