Thanh Hoa's state-of-the-art children's cultural center

The Hac Thanh Children's Cultural Center and Sports Center, spanning over 4 hectares and costing nearly 250 billion VND, is nearing completion.

The Children's Cultural Center features a seven-story main building, a three-story auxiliary building, a 300-seat competition hall, and a covered physical activity area. The seven-story building serves as the centerpiece, housing indoor sports training rooms for activities like chess, Chinese chess, music, dance, and aerobics.

Located within Thanh Hoa province's most modern urban area, now Hac Thanh ward, is the Thanh Hoa City Children's Cultural Center and Sports Center project (renamed the Hac Thanh Children's Cultural Center and Sports Center).

The project, encompassing a children's cultural center and a sports center on a 4.1-hectare site, broke ground in mid-May 2024 with a total investment of nearly 250 billion VND from the state budget.

The Children's Cultural Center occupies a prime location with four street frontages, adjacent to the former Thanh Hoa City Administrative Center, now the Hac Thanh ward headquarters. It is currently the largest and most modern facility for children in Thanh Hoa.

The Sports Center includes an indoor swimming pool, artificial soccer field, tennis courts, and basketball courts. The project is overseen by the Thanh Hoa City Construction Investment Project Management Board (now the Dong Son Regional Project Management Board).

A highlight of the Sports Center is the aesthetically pleasing steel-framed domed swimming pool. Its 500 m2 surface area (25 m long and 20 m wide) is divided into 8 lanes, suitable for youth swimming competitions.

An eye-catching outdoor musical fountain with vibrant colors is situated next to the multi-purpose gymnasium.

Inside a chess room at the Hac Thanh Children's Cultural Center, the walls are adorned with playful murals. The aerobic room is currently being equipped. Given its focus on children, the building's staircases and hallways feature robust steel frames, handrails, and safety barriers to minimize risks during activities.

A group of female workers are cleaning the buildings.

Dong Van Long, Director of the Dong Son Regional Project Management Board, stated that while the project was scheduled for completion in 12/2025, all construction is already 100% finished. Currently, contractors are installing equipment and conducting trial runs, in addition to cleaning.

The lighting system, lawn, and landscaping around the cultural center are largely complete. The project is expected to open at the end of July, 5 months ahead of schedule.

Following its merger, Hac Thanh ward now has a population of over 197,000, creating a significant demand for educational, recreational, and sports facilities for young people. The nearing completion of the Children's Cultural Center and Sports Center is anticipated to provide a modern complex that meets the expectations of residents in Thanh Hoa's central urban area.
