The Indian navy delegation is led by Rear Admiral Susheel Menon, Flag Officer Commanding Eastern Fleet. After the welcoming ceremony, Vietnamese representatives were invited to tour the INS Delhi.
The three-day goodwill visit to Da Nang, from 24/7 to 27/7, includes courtesy calls to city leaders, Military Region 5, and Navy Region 3. The crew will also participate in a volleyball match with local officers and soldiers and conduct bilateral maritime training with Region 3 forces.

The visit aims to strengthen the friendship, cooperation, and comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and India, established in 2016. The Indian navy frequently makes goodwill visits to Da Nang, most recently in 5/2023 with two ships, the INS Delhi and INS Satpura.

India is currently one of Da Nang's key international markets, with a direct Ahmedabad-Da Nang flight operating three times a week. In the first six months of 2025, Indian tourists accounted for 7.38% of total international visitors, ranking second among Da Nang's top 10 markets.
