Three kiosks ablaze in central Hanoi street

Three kiosks, operating as a beverage shop and laundromats, erupted in flames on Lo Duc street on the afternoon of 10/12.

Around 13h10, a fire erupted from a bubble tea kiosk at 168 Lo Duc street, rapidly spreading to two adjacent laundry service shops. Upon discovering the blaze, business owners only managed to move a few belongings outside and attempted to extinguish the flames with handheld fire extinguishers, but their efforts were unsuccessful.

Firefighting forces from Area 9 deployed four vehicles and dozens of officers and soldiers to the scene, cordoning off a section of Lo Duc street. The fire was brought under control at 14h20.

The fire destroyed three kiosks on Lo Duc street.

The fire caused no casualties, but all three kiosks were destroyed. The affected area, spanning over 40 square meters, featured brick walls and a corrugated iron roof, and had been partitioned for various businesses.

The cause is currently being investigated.
