Around 1:10 AM on 8/8/2025, a fire broke out on the first floor of a five-story house, approximately 45 square meters, located in lane 4, Quan Ngua street, Ngoc Ha ward. Three people inside were trapped by the smoke and flames blocking the entrance.

The Quan Ngua Fire and Rescue Unit, located about 150 meters from the scene, quickly dispatched a fire truck and 6 firefighters.

Upon arrival, firefighters found the first-floor cafe engulfed in flames, with the main entrance locked. One team forced entry and began extinguishing the fire, while another climbed a ladder to a second-floor window to search for the trapped occupants.

Within 5 minutes, all three individuals were safely brought down via the staircase. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

The Quan Ngua Fire and Rescue Unit was established in 2/2025 under Hanoi's comprehensive plan to enhance fire prevention and rescue capabilities up to 2025, with a vision towards 2030.
