The fatal accident occurred around 4:30 AM on 23/6 on Provincial Road 822 in Tan My Hamlet, Hau Nghia commune, Duc Hoa district, Long An province. A motorcycle, carrying Le Minh Tung, 26 years old, from Tan My commune, along with two teenagers aged 14 and 17 years old, collided with a truck.
The truck, bearing a Ho Chi Minh City license plate, was driven by Tran Ngoc Quyet, 35 years old, from Quang Ngai, who was delivering goods. Following the impact, the motorcycle was dragged under the truck, becoming completely deformed. The three individuals on the motorcycle were thrown onto the road and died at the scene.

The front of the truck sustained damage, with its windshield shattered and debris scattered across the roadway. Hau Nghia commune authorities immediately sealed off the scene to investigate the cause of the crash. Initial information from the investigation suggests that the three individuals on the motorcycle had consumed alcohol and crashed into the front of the truck.
Observations at the scene indicated that the section of Provincial Road 822 where the accident occurred was illuminated by streetlights, had a dry surface, and there was no rain at the time. Provincial Road 822 spans over 16 km, primarily within Duc Hoa district, and currently features two lanes, with plans for expansion to 4-6 lanes.
