Highest civil servant salary reaches 25 million VND from 1/7

From 1/7, with the base salary increasing to 2,53 million VND per month, senior experts will receive the highest salary in the civil servant system, up to 25,3 million VND.

The government has decided to increase the base salary from 2,34 million VND to 2,53 million VND per month, effective 1/7. This adjustment serves as the basis for modifying salaries and allowances for officials, civil servants, public employees, and armed forces.

Under current regulations, civil servant salaries are calculated by multiplying the base salary by a coefficient based on their rank and grade, excluding allowances.

With the new base salary, senior experts will continue to earn the highest salaries within the civil servant system, ranging from 22,2 million VND to 25,3 million VND per month. This represents an increase of about 1,6-1,9 million VND from current levels.

Groups including: senior specialists, senior inspectors, senior tax controllers, senior auditors, senior bank controllers, senior customs examiners, senior valuation officers, and senior market controllers, will earn salaries ranging from 15,7 million VND to 20,2 million VND per month. This marks an increase of about 1,2-1,5 million VND.

For lower-income groups, salaries for other civil servant ranks will also be adjusted accordingly based on the new salary coefficients.

Entry-level accountants remain the lowest-paid group, earning approximately 3,4 million VND per month. This represents an increase of over 256.000 VND from current levels and is the smallest absolute increase in this adjustment round.
