Tourist boat capsizes in Ha Long Bay

A tourist boat, Wonder Sea, carrying over 40 people capsized due to a squall on the afternoon of 19/7. The border guard rescued 10 people.

According to the Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee, the accident occurred at 1:45 p.m. near Dau Go Cave in Ha Long Bay. The province is conducting rescue operations and has not yet released specific information about the number of people on board.

However, according to relatives of those on board the Wonder Sea, before the accident, the boat was carrying more than 40 people, including many families with spouses and children.

At 5 p.m., the Quang Ninh provincial border guard reported that they had rescued 10 people from the capsized boat.
