Around 2:55 PM, driver Ki Sa Khon, a 56-year-old Lao national residing in Bolikhamsay province, was operating a Lao-plated tractor-trailer with a trailer on Ho Chi Minh road. He was traveling from A Luoi 2 commune towards Quang Tri. Upon reaching A Nam village in A Luoi 1 commune, the vehicle suddenly veered off the road, striking the perimeter wall and guardhouse of Hong Van Kindergarten, a representative from the A Luoi 1 People's Committee reported.

The impact caused one section of the fence to collapse and damaged part of the guardhouse along with several items inside. Fortunately, no students were present at the time of the accident, resulting in no human casualties. At the scene, the front of the tractor-trailer was stuck against the guardhouse, and the driver sustained minor injuries.
The road where the accident occurred is approximately 8 meters wide and has two lanes. The cause of the accident was determined to be the driver failing to stay in their lane and not controlling their speed.
Recently, the Ho Chi Minh road, passing through the old A Luoi district, has become a concern for local residents due to the continuous operation of coal-carrying tractor-trailers from Laos via the La Lay border gate. In just 10 days, three accidents involving coal-carrying tractor-trailers have occurred on this road, caused by drivers failing to control their speed and encroaching on lanes.
