Traffic police escort 7-year-old girl to emergency room

A 7-year-old girl suffered a seizure while traveling with her mother on the Hanoi-Hai Phong expressway and was escorted to the emergency room by the traffic police.

Around 9:15 AM on 30/6, Nguyen Thi Bich Thuy, 40, from Chien Thang commune, An Lao district, Hai Phong city, and her daughter Luong Minh Khue were traveling by bus on the Hanoi-Hai Phong expressway.

When they reached Van Giang district, Hung Yen province, Khue began convulsing, turning blue, and lost consciousness. The bus driver quickly stopped the vehicle and approached the Expressway Traffic Police Team 2 of the Traffic Police Department for assistance.

An officer took Khue from Thuy and carried her to a waiting police vehicle. The vehicle then turned on its siren and emergency lights, quickly transporting the girl to Bach Mai Hospital in Hanoi for emergency treatment.

Thanks to the swift action, the girl is now out of danger.

This is not the first time traffic police on the expressway have provided emergency escorts. On the evening of 23/6, traffic police from Team 7 of the Traffic Police Department used a specialized vehicle to transport a truck driver showing signs of seizures and stroke on the Trung Luong-My Thuan-Can Tho expressway to the hospital. The driver recovered.

In addition to seeking direct assistance from officers on the road, people can call 1900 8099 to connect with the Traffic Police Department for support in emergency situations.
