At the 19/8 Guesthouse, two large trees were uprooted, crushing two parked cars. The vehicles sustained heavy damage to their hoods and bodies. "Fortunately, there was no one in the cars at the time," said Trinh Anh, chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Gia Nghia ward (UBND).
The storm also tore the roofs off more than 10 houses and blew down several signs and welcome gates. Power lines and telecommunication cables sagged, with some sections short-circuiting, disrupting traffic and residents' daily lives.
While there were no injuries, the storm caused significant property damage, estimated at billions of Vietnamese dong (VND).
