At approximately 5:30 a.m., a truck carrying steel pipes overturned on the ramp connecting the Nha Trang-Cam Lam highway to National Highway 1. The driver, 32-year-old Le Xuan Lanh, and his passenger were killed instantly. The truck, registered in Khanh Hoa, was traveling from Ho Chi Minh City towards Cam Hiep commune in Cam Lam district.

The truck lost control while navigating the curve, overturning and spilling hundreds of steel pipes onto the road. The cabin was severely damaged, trapping both occupants inside. The road was relatively empty at the time of the accident.
The Khanh Hoa Provincial Police Fire Prevention and Fighting, and Rescue Police Department dispatched a rescue vehicle and six officers to the scene. They used specialized equipment to extract the bodies from the wreckage and cleaned up a fuel spill to prevent a fire.
The cause of the accident is currently under investigation.
The 49-km Nha Trang-Cam Lam highway connects to the 78-km Cam Lam-Vinh Hao route. It is a four-lane highway with a maximum speed limit of 90 km/h and a total investment of over 8,900 billion VND.
