Truck overturns on road connecting Nha Trang to Cam Ranh

A truck struck a median on Cu Hin Pass, then overturned in Cam Lam commune, causing traffic congestion on the afternoon of December 3.

Around 3 PM, amid rainy conditions, 33-year-old driver Nguyen Xuan Hai was driving a truck registered in Khanh Hoa on Nguyen Tat Thanh Boulevard, heading from Nha Trang towards Cam Ranh Airport. Upon reaching Cu Hin Pass, the vehicle unexpectedly veered into the median, overturned, and blocked a portion of the road.

The powerful impact shattered the median, scattering debris across the roadway. The truck's cabin became lodged in the concrete barrier, severely deformed, and one front wheel detached. The driver, uninjured, managed to exit the vehicle. The incident caused significant traffic congestion, prompting traffic police to divert vehicles.

Cu Hin Pass, an 8 km stretch connecting Nha Trang and Cam Ranh Airport, is known for its scenic views but also features numerous curves and heavy traffic.
