The car was heading from the Thu Thiem residential area towards the Le Duan - Dinh Tien Hoang intersection in Saigon Ward. After descending the bridge's slope, the seven-seater car unexpectedly struck a four-seater vehicle from behind, pushing it over ten meters. This initial collision caused the breakage of a decorative gate before both vehicles ultimately crashed into the wall of Saigon Major Seminary.
